Port Logan is a small picturesque village offering a handful of amenities. It was a popular fishing village and in 1820 Colonel MacDouall built the stunning pier to creat a wonderful harbour. In 2000 a film crew made Port Logan famous with the filming of the BBC series of Two Thousand Acres of Sky.

Port Logan is popular with fishermen and other boat owners as it has a slipway in the harbour. It is also a good base for walkers or birdwatchers
